Use JB PARCEL with AI tools
Everything on this map, all 50 states of parcels, owners, values, and sale history, can be searched by an AI assistant on your behalf. The connection takes about two minutes, and you never write code. This guide shows the Claude setup, then the same idea in other tools, then what to actually ask. If you want the concepts first, read What is MCP? - this page is just the doing.
Connect in Claude (web, desktop, or mobile)
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Paste https://jbparcel.com/mcp as the URL. Leave the OAuth fields empty.
- Click Add, then sign in with your JB PARCEL account when the login page appears.
That is the whole setup. Claude now has parcel search as a tool it can use in any conversation. The first time it wants to use it, it will ask your permission.
Other tools
Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and the Gemini CLI each have a short setup page of their own: Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or the full list at jbparcel.com/connect. Anywhere MCP is supported, the server URL is the same.
What to ask once connected
Be specific about place and criteria, the way you would brief an assistant:
- "Find parcels in Wilson County TN between 5 and 20 acres with no building value."
- "Who owns 1024 Main St in Murfreesboro, and what did they pay for it?"
- "List Davidson County parcels where the owner mailing address is in California."
- "Pull the sale history for parcel 043-012.00 in Williamson County."
- "Which of these five addresses have an absentee owner? Give me the mailing addresses."
The assistant translates each of those into real searches and answers from live data, with the parcels it used listed so you can verify. Follow-ups work the way you would hope: "now only the ones that sold before 2010" or "only the ones over five acres" narrow the same search in the same conversation. Sorting and CSV export live in the web app, not in the AI connector.
Two things worth knowing
First, usage is metered against your own plan: every row the assistant pulls counts exactly as if you had searched the map yourself, so a bigger research session needs a plan sized for it. Second, the assistant can only do what your tier allows; sale history, for example, follows the same plan rules as the site.
If it does not work
If the assistant says it cannot find the connector, check that you are signed in to the same account you connected, and that the connector shows as enabled in Settings. A tool that was connected before a password change needs to be signed in again. Still stuck? The contact page reaches a human.
